- Digital sales of apparel spiked 47% in February as consumers continued to rapidly adapt to online shopping, helping to fuel a 54.7% rise in e-commerce sales, Mastercard North America President Linda Kirkpatrick said Tuesday.
- "Almost three quarters of all apparel purchases were made online in February, and this is up from 47% just a year ago," she said on "Power Lunch."
- Overall retail sales rose year over year by almost 5% in February, Mastercard research found, in the face of inclement weather and the ongoing pandemic.
