Conquer the Morning! Conquer the Day!

It's the new "Squawk Box" ad campaign, and it's a lot of fun. The first ads are meant to give you a real behind-the-scenes view of our three musketeers, showing you what makes them tick both at home and at the office. So if you haven't seen them yet, I posted the links to the videos featuring Becky, Joe, and Andrew below. (I should mention, we shot them for our "Squawk on the Street" brethren too! If you want to check them out just go to CNBC's "Conquer the Morning" Channel on YouTube)

Watch how this segment evolves and the conversation it sparked on the minimum wage.

The 'Kernency'

All this bitcoin talk got us talking this past week, mainly about the story of Kanye West getting his own virtual currency, "Coinye."

This very important and relevant business discussion led the control room to draw their own obvious conclusions on what the next big virtual currency opportunity would be.

Of course, we now introduce to the world to the Joe "Kernency."

Squawkward moments

Byron Wien: " … I knew that would arouse you Joe."

Joe: "No, Byron your comments earlier about you hop around in the snow aroused me, but let's not get into that."

Eye in the sky

Your car knows more about you than you may think.

's head of marketing was talking about data privacy at CES in Las Vegas this week. He says GPS units installed in Ford vehicles allow the automaker to know when drivers are speeding.

This of course has some Squawkers a little upset. Cue the classic Joe Kernen road rage video!
