Google – The search engine said it would pay $3.2 billion in cash to acquire Nest Labs. Google's shares rose in after-hours trading.
Charter Communications – Charter Communications proposed to buy Time Warner Cable for about $61.3 billion, or $132.50 a share. Shares of Time Warner Cable and Charter Communications rose in after-hours trading.
